LA socialite Rebecca Grossman in court for jury selection

Los Angeles socialite Rebecca Grossman was accompanied by her daughter and husband as she headed into jury selection at her hit-and-run trial.
Grossman, 60, is accused of plowing into two little boys — Jacob Iskander, 8, and Mark Iskander, 11 — while driving drunk, killing them in 2020.
She faces two counts of second-degree murder for their deaths and could receive up to 34 years in prison for her alleged role.
Grossman was seen Friday walking arm-in-arm with her plastic surgeon husband Peter and their daughter.
The family-of-three looked downcast as they headed into the Nuys West Courthouse for the second day of jury selection.
Grossman, who hid behind a facemask, wore a dark blue patterned shirt with a black sweater over top and had her hair sensibly pulled back in an updo. She accessorized with a pair of kitten heels and a small black bag.
Her husband showed up for the second day of court, wearing a tan blazer that matched his tie with a light blue button-down and dark pants. He also wore a face mask, while their daughter opted to go for a thick gray sweater and black pants and pulled her blonde hair into a braid, sans mask.
Grossman has been accused of racing her ex-MLB lover Scott Erickson, who was in another car at the time of the fatal accident.
The socialite was allegedly driving 81 mph and blew a 0.076%.
She maintains that she did not hit the boys, but their grieving mother, Nancy Iskander, said the two cars were traveling at an “insane” speed. Nancy herself was nearly hit but managed to grab her then-five-year-old son Zachery and dive out of the way.
“They were zigzagging with each other as if they were playing or racing,” she told the Los Angeles Times.
The pair, allegedly then in a relationship, had been drinking at a nearby restaurant before the crash. Grossman was also found to have Valium in her blood.
The court will be allowed to prove to jurors that the surgeon’s wife was in the midst of a love affair with Erickson at the time of the crash, according to a recent ruling by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Joseph Brandolino.
After the boys were hit, Mark was launched more than 250 feet, killing him. Jacob died hours later in the hospital.
“They didn’t stop at the intersection. They didn’t stop when an 11-year-old was on the hood of the car. Nobody stopped,” said Nancy.
Erickson was charged with a misdemeanor and his case was resolved in Feb. 2022.
The socialite also faces two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and one count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death.
Rebecca is currently out on a $2 million bond and faces 34 years in prison if she’s convicted.
