Marshawn Lynch arrested for DUI in Las Vegas
Marshawn Lynch, the former star running back for the Seahawks, was arrested Tuesday in Las Vegas for driving under the influence.
Las Vegas police pulled Lynch over at 7:25 a.m. after the 36-year-old was seen driving into curbs on the side of the road.
“The LVMPD conducted a vehicle stop at Fairfield Avenue and West Utah Avenue (near Wyoming and Las Vegas BLVD) on a driver, later identified as Marshawn Lynch, for suspected driver impairment,” the police said in a statement. “Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that Lynch was impaired and conducted an arrest. Lynch was transported to the Las Vegas City Jail and booked for driving under the influence.”
Lynch’s arrest came barely 24 hours after Seattle revealed the All-Pro had been hired as a special correspondent for the team in the 2022-23 NFL season, producing creative content for a number of projects.
Lynch officially retired from the NFL following the 2019 season, capping a 12-year career.
He was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for DUI in 2012. He pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless driving in 2014, settling the case.
