Chris Spanto Wife: Was Born x Raised Co-Founder Married?

Chris Spanto, better known as Chris Printup, co-founded the iconic streetwear label Born x Raised in Los Angeles.

Born x Raised earned a massive following under Spanto’s artistic vision because of its raw style and profound connection to the city’s culture.

While there is little information regarding Spanto’s marital status because he has kept his personal life off social media, his work, contributions to the fashion industry, and effect on the community needs to be recognized.

But many sources claim his wife’s name is Ayesha.

Trials, tribulations, and achievements defined his life path. He was diagnosed with terminal Cancer shortly after starting Born x Raised in 2013.

However, he celebrated his cancer-free status in 2018, reflecting with thankfulness on his life and health experience.

In December 2022, Spanto’s Instagram post highlighted his terrible background, time spent in the criminal justice system, and resolve to produce something significant while imprisoned.

He recounted his tale to encourage others, emphasizing that life’s difficulties can be overcome with determination.

Born x Raised cooperated with notable companies and organizations under Spanto’s creative guidance, expanding its reach beyond fashion.

Collaborations with New Era, Converse, Babylon, and several Los Angeles sports teams, including the Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Rams, and LAFC, demonstrated the brand’s artistic effect.

The designer’s Native American heritage—half he’s Apache and half Seneca—is also visible throughout the ad.

Spanto gathered various people from his life to model the new pieces for the photoshoots in both Los Angeles and White River, Arizona, including his mother and brothers and actors Richard Cabral and Amber Midthunder.

“When we cast [our advertisements], we utilize genuine people—people I admire and admire.”

Spanto’s youth also inspires the collection in Venice, California. “I grew up in Los Angeles in the 1980s and 1990s, when the way you wore made a big statement,” Spanto adds.

“We wore our clothes like a coat of armor and a bravery badge.” I preserve and carry the same vitality as I develop my collections.”

According to the designer, a brand like Levi’s was the ideal partner to reflect the laid-back, Californian lifestyle synonymous with his range.

“I grew up wearing Levi’s and a white tee shirt, almost as a uniform,” Spanto explains. “Something so basic but gorgeous. Levi’s is ageless, and I believe Born x Raised is also.”
